Come join us and a group of fantastic Colorado wedding vendors at Artwork Network on Wednesday, March 30th.
When couples are planning a Colorado destination wedding they don’t typically get to make it out to do a traditional engagement shoot with their photographer. Many of our destination wedding clients do their pre-wedding shoot a couple of days before the wedding date when they come in for the main event.
That is the case with this weekend’s couple – Megan is from Kansas and Craig is from Scotland. Planning a Colorado wedding from afar, they headed out on Wednesday with Dawn Sparks Photography for these amazing engagement pictures. Even better, Megan did her hair and makeup trial with Girls and Curls just before the shoot!
We are excited to be working with Work Options for Women, an amazing Colorado nonprofit organization, planning the 7th Annual WomenCook! – Dining for a Difference event.
Work Options for Women is a nonprofit organization that helps impoverished women gain the skills and confidence they need to work their way out of poverty and become gainfully and permanently employed in the food service industry. Each year their annual fundraiser, WomenCook!, raises funds to support the organization’s mission.
This year’s even is on May 2, 2011 and will take place at Temple Emanuel. Attendees will join female chefs from some of Denver’s most notable restaurants for an evening of food, wine and music. During the walk-around dinner each chef will serve signature dishes while guests meet and speak directly with them—possibly learning secret culinary techniques or obtaining coveted recipes.
You can purchase your tickets online today to attend this one of a kind event.
Selecting a venue for your big day can be a daunting task and requires thinking carefully about all aspects of your wedding. There are many elements that go into selecting the perfect Colorado wedding venue for your celebration, something you might want to consider when deciding is the photographic possibilities of the venue. While every professional photographer will be able to make beautiful memories for you regardless of the environment, there are certain elements that allow them more opportunity to do so. Below are some of these considerations from Jesse Star Photography.
It was a lot of fun to working with Lee and Chris planning their Manitou Springs wedding at the Briarhurst Manor. Lee was a DIY Bride, making her own invitations, place cards and centerpiece containers. She incorporated her pink and black wedding colors into all of the elements of the celebration.
We are enjoying working with Julie and Eric planning their July wedding at Cielo at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, Colorado. Thank you to Jenni Maroney Photography for letting us share the couple’s engagement pictures in downtown Denver.
