When Kelly and Kenny started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to showcase the city of Denver to their family and friends. They began their venue search in the heart of downtown and quickly settled on Ironworks for its mix of industrial-chic and Art Deco-inspired design. Not long afterward, through a recommendation from the folks at Ironworks, they found Sapphire Celebrations! They selected our full-service wedding planning package, and we assisted them with drawing up a wedding design and building their vendor team. Overcoming Obstacles to Plan the Perfect Wedding DayPlanning Kelly and Kenny’s wedding day wasn’t without obstacles (as is often the case!). However, our team of experienced planning professionals overcame them so the couple could enjoy a stress-free planning journey and the wedding day of their dreams. The first obstacle came in the form of transportation logistics. It was important to Kelly and Kenny to have a church ceremony honoring their religious upbringing. Since their reception would be at Ironworks, this required shuttling guests from one part of downtown to another. Moreover, the church had limited parking, and the couple didn’t want their guests to worry about driving home after the reception. So, we worked with Blue River to ensure seamless transportation from one venue to another! Hiring this vendor also reassured the bride and groom that guests had a safe ride back to their lodging. Besides transportation, Kelly and Kenny were also concerned with creating a menu conscious of Kenny’s food allergies. It was of utmost importance to choose a caterer who could accommodate his needs so he could celebrate safely. For this need, we turned to our trusted partner Footers. They kept the couple in the loop every step of the way so they had peace of mind and served a delicious meal enjoyed by all! A Church Ceremony and Reception at IronworksOn a gorgeous October day, Kelly and Kenny exchanged vows before their closest family and friends at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Also in attendance? Look-alike Barbie and Ken dolls who joined Kelly and Kenny for their bachelor and bachelorette parties and the entire wedding day. Afterward, the couple set out to snap portraits downtown with their photographer and bridal party! The Byron White Courthouse steps made the perfect backdrop, with the sun gleaming on the marble. The reception at Ironworks featured pared-back decor to complement the space’s historic architecture in a timeless ivory, black, and light blue color palette. Kelly and Kenny are craft beer enthusiasts, so each guest received a koozie as a favor. After a candlelit dinner, everyone hit the dance floor, and an epic party ensued, complete with light-up tambourines! This wedding at Ironworks was one to remember! We’re so glad our team could help Kelly and Kenny plan a Denver wedding showcasing the city they love. Are you and your partner considering a Colorado wedding? Jackie and Ian came to us knowing they wanted to host a Colorado wedding showcasing the state’s natural beauty. However, they also wanted the day to have an elegant, upscale feel to match the bride’s NYC upbringing. We helped them find the perfect mountain wedding venue in Camp Hale and assisted them with curating every element of the day. We’re so glad we could be their wedding planning team! Colorado Full-Service Wedding PlanningJackie and Ian knew they had a challenge ahead when they decided to plan their Colorado wedding. Sapphire Celebrations came to the rescue! As long-time Coloradans and experienced wedding planners, we knew how to bring their vision to life. Camp Hale was the perfect choice for their venue because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony location and onsite tent. The couple and their guests enjoyed sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains while dining on elevated fare catered by Footers. Jackie and Ian love to cook together, so we helped them brainstorm the perfect favor to gift each guest: a small bottle of specialty olive oil! Not only did the keepsakes make for a sweet personal touch, but the elegant glass containers coordinated beautifully with the décor on the tablescapes. We even had a hand in ensuring the couple’s photos turned out exactly as they envisioned! We held up our iPhones to create the perfect lighting for Mikkelle Carlson to capture portraits of Jackie in the middle of a dark mountain meadow. The stunning results are unlike any bridal portraits we’ve seen before. Jackie truly made the most beautiful mountain bride! Outdoor Wedding Reception at Camp Hale Camp Hale is a unique Colorado wedding venue with plenty of open space for outdoor activities. So, Jackie and Ian chose to take advantage of that to host one of the most fun wedding receptions we’ve ever attended! They incorporated activities showcasing their interests, including archery and flyfishing in the nearby lake (Jackie even reeled in a fish in her wedding dress!). However, those less inclined to rustic pursuits also had plenty to do. Guests could pose for the photo booth from Elite Entertainment or hit the dance floor while DJRIPM spun the tunes. It was our honor to assist Jackie and Ian with planning their destination wedding at Camp Hale! As Colorado wedding planners, we love planning events of all kinds, from the mountains of Vail to downtown Denver. No matter what kind of celebration you’re envisioning, we want to hear from you. vendors:Venue: Camp Hale

Jillian and Mitchell met on a dating app and met in person several weeks later on their first date at Jillian’s apartment. Right before Mitchell was due to arrive, Jillian’s bathtub faucet exploded! Mitchell walked in to find her surrounded by tools and immediately knew she was unlike any girl he had met. They spent the rest of the date chatting and playing Bananagrams while waiting for maintenance to arrive. A few months later, Mitchell asked Jillian to be his girlfriend in the most romantic way: on the beach at sunset! The couple soon fell head over heels for each other, flying to meet each other’s families in Colorado and Texas over the winter holidays. At the end of the following year, Mitchell popped the question in Los Angeles at the scenic Griffith Observatory Overlook. After Jillian said yes, the happy pair celebrated the next day with a trip to Disneyland. We adore their love story! It was our pleasure to plan their dream destination wedding at The Broadmoor. Wedding Dress Shopping at KleinfeldBefore their big day, the couple flew to New York City to shop for Jillian’s wedding dress at the famed Kleinfeld Bridal salon, as seen on Say Yes to the Dress! Jillian had her fairytale moment with a Dupioni silk ballgown. The romantic off-the-shoulder style featured a beaded sweetheart neckline and lace brocade bodice on top of a flowing skirt, perfect for an elegant Broadmoor wedding. Meanwhile, Mitchell selected a stunning pair of bridal shoes for Jillian. He chose the Hammond Feather Pump, a fun and flirty sandal with a sky-high heel and feathered strap from Something Bleu. Classic Destination Wedding at The BroadmoorJillian grew up in Colorado and always knew she wanted to say “I do” at the iconic Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs when the day came. However, she and Mitchell lived in California throughout their engagement, making Colorado wedding planning more difficult. Enter Sapphire Celebrations! Our team was happy to help the couple plan and design their celebration and build a vendor team of Colorado’s most skilled wedding professionals. Jillian wanted a classic and elegant wedding design that would enhance the beauty of The Broadmoor and First Christian Church, the couple’s ceremony venue. We accomplished the look she wanted with a simple and timeless blush-and-white color palette with navy blue accents. Statice Floral designed the floral arrangements, including Jillian’s bouquet of roses and silver dollar eucalyptus. Meanwhile, the bride managed the design and printing process for the couple’s custom navy blue-and-white wedding invitations with Perfect Press. We loved getting to know this sweet couple and helping them plan their destination wedding at The Broadmoor! As preferred planners with this legendary Colorado Springs venue, we have extensive experience designing weddings there.
