Sapphire Celebrations has been planning weddings at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for over 16 years. In fact, we’re a preferred planner for the resort—the longest-standing one! From a 9-person elopement to a 1500-person military ball, we’ve seen it all. But while we love planning every kind of event here, weddings are our favorite! Today we’re here to share our favorite ceremony and reception venues at The Broadmoor. Because with 13 in-house locations, couples have a tough choice ahead of them.
Ceremony Venues at The Broadmoor
The Broadmoor offers indoor and outdoor options for couples hosting their wedding ceremony. All of them are stunning, so you really can’t go wrong! However, these three have risen above the pack to become our favorites.
West Tower Lawn
This venue blends the elegance of The Broadmoor Resort with the rustic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Green and lush, it has maple, pine, and cherry trees growing at its edge. You won’t find a more picturesque backdrop for your Colorado ceremony! This is also the largest ceremony space at The Broadmoor, with seating for up to 500 guests.
At this ceremony location, you can enjoy all the spectacular views The Broadmoor has to offer in one place. Your guests can feast their eyes on the sparkling Cheyenne Lake, the resort’s West Building, and the mountains as you say, “I do.” This is one of the most popular ceremony spots, and once you visit, you will fall in love!
For couples who prefer a traditional setting for their religious ceremony, the Pauline Chapel is located right across the street. The architecture is reminiscent of Spanish Colonial Revival, while the inside is designed to look like an early Christian basilica.
Reception Venues at the BRoadmoor
Likewise, The Broadmoor offers a multitude of options for hosting your reception. From elegant ballrooms to rustic lodges, there’s something for everyone! Here are a few of our favorites.
After your ceremony and cocktail hour on the West Tower Lawn, your guests can head to the nearby Main Ballroom for a formal dinner and dancing. This ballroom is original to the resort and has been open since 1918! With glittering chandeliers and ornate charm, this space is the epitome of luxury. It allows for seating up to 170 guests.
Lake Terrace Dining Room
Steps from the Lakeside Terrace, you’ll find the Lake Terrace Dining Room. This space is a favorite with our clients, with marble flooring and high ceilings. The elegant details and views of the lake provide unmatched charm! This space has a minimum guest requirement of 150, and can comfortably hold up to 250.
Do you want that rustic Colorado look but with the service of a five-star resort? Look no further than the Cheyenne Lodge! Located slightly off The Broadmoor’s grounds in the surrounding mountains, it’s the perfect setting for your celebration. Through large glass doors that give the space an indoor/outdoor feel, your guests will enjoy breathtaking views of Colorado Springs!
These ceremony and reception venues at The Broadmoor are just the tip of the iceberg! There are so many options to create a wedding celebration that is entirely your own. We love planning weddings here and feel so grateful to be in partnership with them! We helped Kristin and Corey plan their wedding from start to finish over several years. They were our first COVID reschedule, then our final COVID wedding that came to fruition! Although they chose to elope ahead of time, they finally got to say “I do” in the presence of their loved ones on June 25th, 2022. We helped them find all but their venue, Space Gallery, to bring their unique vision to life!
Ceremony in the Space Gallery Loft
While we had planned for an outdoor ceremony, the weather forecast promised rain all weekend. So, we moved the event into the loft of Space Gallery! The couple’s modern decor fit perfectly with the minimal aesthetic of the space. Their round archway framed a piece of abstract art on the wall, while an installation of unique purple flowers by Newberry Brothers topped it off. In addition, bud vases filled with more purple flowers (Kristin’s favorite!) lined either side of the aisle for a lush feel that imitated an outdoor garden. Of course, the rain never showed up—but I’m still so glad we went with Plan B!
Reception with a Tattoo Truck and Colorado Cuisine
Kristin and Corey didn’t want a run-of-the-mill celebration for their reception at Space Gallery. Instead, they wanted something unique to appeal to the multiple generations in attendance, including their parents and adult children. With that in mind, they came up with the idea to have a modern reception with a nightclub theme. We loved that idea and had so much fun bringing it to life.
For a casual vibe, we arranged mixed seating in the main gallery with options for eating and lounging. A white couch with purple throw pillows from Bear Aesthetic and sleek Italia chairs from Charming Chairs brightened the space and tied the look together. Meanwhile, a karaoke machine and a mobile tattoo artist filled the evening with plenty of entertainment. That’s right—nine guests, including the groom’s 80-year-old mother, got real tattoos from Sydaeus Tattoo!
Delicious food was also a must-have for Kristin and Corey. They wanted a buffet-style meal that would be filling but informal. So, we worked with our tried-and-true caterer, Footers, to create the perfect menu! From street tacos to “Colorado Caprese” featuring local ingredients, it was truly a mouthwatering affair. Then, the High Point Creamery ice cream cart served up all the bride and groom’s favorite flavors for a sweet finish.
Work with Sapphire Celebrations
It was amazing to see Kristin and Corey’s wedding at Space Gallery come to life after years of planning. Despite the setbacks, these two never lost their sense of humor. We can’t wait to see where the future takes them!

At Sapphire Celebrations, we don’t just plan weddings but corporate events as well! We love our loyal clients who we collaborate with each time a corporate party rolls around. Premier Roofing is one of those recurring clients, and last January we planned their annual Premier Night! This celebration is a time for employees to let loose after a day of meetings recapping the previous year. The annual awards are handed out, and everyone looks forward to the coming year with excitement!
Benefits of Hiring a Planner for Your Next Corporate Event
To plan Premier Night, we worked with Premier’s marketing department and several other members of their corporate team. We needed all hands on deck to ensure the event would be executed successfully! There are so many benefits to hiring a planner from outside your company to plan your next corporate party. For starters, we work WITH company employees to plan events. We understand that while planning may be part of their job description, they have other responsibilities that require attention. We do the legwork for them so they can focus their energy on decision-making instead of tracking down vendors!
Moreover, hiring a planner allows your employees to benefit from all of their hard work. At Premier Night, the employees who helped plan the event enjoyed dancing and delicious food with their colleagues. Meanwhile, our team was just getting started! We managed all the details behind the scenes so that everyone could have a spectacular experience.
Designing a Pop Culture-Themed Corporate Party
The theme for this year’s Premier Night was “pop culture,” and we had so much fun creating a design! We focused on a color palette of neon blues, greens, and oranges for a cartoon-inspired feel. In addition, we placed signs throughout the room in a pop art style inspired by Andy Warhol! Bear Aesthetic created the coolest centerpieces out of miniature disco balls and bits of dried florals. And, we loved the colorful lighting design by Lighting and Design by Scott! Their “Totally Awesome” neon sign was such a fun backdrop for photos.
Mile High Station housed the event, and the industrial-inspired space provided the perfect casual atmosphere. And how could we forget the fantastic catering provided by Footers? They’ve been one of Denver’s most well-regarded catering companies for several decades, and it isn’t hard to see why. Appetizer stations with comforting selections like freshly baked bread, mac and cheese, and short rib were placed throughout the room. Footers even helped concept and produce the food station design pieces. It’s one of the reasons we love working with them. They take a theme and go above and beyond! Everyone enjoyed a quick bite before taking a spin on the dance floor to the sounds of DJ Drake!
