Hillary and Justin envisioned a summer wedding at the Broadmoor with classic details, from custom-designed invitations to white flowers galore. As the resort’s longest-standing preferred planner, we were thrilled to bring their vision to life! Although Hillary’s mother is a Coloradan, the couple resides out of state, and they wanted a local wedding expert to guide them through the planning process. We often help couples plan their destination wedding here and are open to working with anyone, both near and far! It’s our honor to introduce soon-to-be-weds to our beautiful state and help them build their vendor dream team.
Lakeside Summer Wedding at the Broadmoor
Hillary and Justin utilized two of our favorite wedding spots at the Broadmoor to host their summer nuptials. They exchanged their vows on the Lakeside Terrace, where their guests enjoyed a spectacular view of the resort’s West Building, the Cheyenne Lake, and the looming Rockies. It was a gorgeous July day with the lake water sparkling in the sunlight! Meanwhile, a floral arch by Southern Charm added a touch of elegance. White roses, snapdragons, and lisianthus, accompanied by lush greenery, climbed up either side while a silky panel of white gauze hung overhead.
Later, the couple hosted their reception inside the Lake Terrace Dining Room, just steps from their ceremony’s location. This space is peak elegance, with marble flooring and ceilings that soar. It’s a favorite with our clients, and it isn’t hard to see why! Guests can enjoy unobstructed lake views through massive windows from the comfort of air conditioning. Plus, the space can accommodate up to 250 people!
The couple’s tablescapes were all timeless sophistication, with crisp white linens and gleaming glassware. Along the center of each, greenery boughs joined ivory pillar candles to add just the right amount of freshness and warmth. However, the evening wasn’t only beautiful but full of entertainment for the couple’s guests! Sound Master Entertainment played everyone’s favorite wedding tunes, and it wasn’t long before everyone rushed to the dance floor. Then, Hillary and Justin danced the hora to honor Hillary’s Jewish heritage! Meanwhile, Goofy Faces Caricatures entertained everyone by creating portraits of the couple and their guests.

Reece’s quinceañera at the Millhouse was a beautiful, culture-filled celebration. Our team was honored to assist with planning from start to finish! Reece’s parents knew they wanted to host the event in their hometown of Castle Rock, just south of the Denver metro area, but weren’t aware of the venues available. Once they shared their budget and guest count, we helped them select the Millhouse. Then, we helped them build a team of fantastic Denver area vendors to bring their daughter’s special day to life!
The Significance of the Quinceañera
The quinceañera is a traditional coming-of-age celebration in Mexican culture. It occurs on a girl’s 15th birthday to mark her transition into womanhood! Typically, she will wear a long, sophisticated ballgown for the occasion to signal her maturity. We loved Reece’s off-the-shoulder gown in a showstopping shade of red with glitzy floral appliqués!
We wanted to serve authentic cuisine at the event to honor Reece and her family’s Mexican heritage. The Roadrunner Food Truck was a perfect choice! Head Chef Daniel hails from New Mexico and crafts delicious twists on traditional foods with only the freshest ingredients. His famous loaded tacos, nachos, and burrito bowls fueled the celebration into the night.
Designing a Quinceañera at the Millhouse
Reece wanted her quinceañera to feature a color palette that showcased her love of pink. However, she also wanted the celebration to feel mature rather than girlish to signify her entrance into womanhood. To accomplish this balance, we selected décor in shades of blush and bubblegum pink with hints of red to match her dress. Ignite Experiences created a custom flower wall that was the pièce de résistance of the event! Pink and ivory roses covered every inch of the surface, which made it the prettiest photo backdrop.
Meanwhile, Reece’s quinceañera cake by The Makery Cake Co. perfectly combined design elements from the flower wall and her dress. Lush red roses and burgundy carnations spilled down the side of the tiered treat, which also featured a glittery “15” cake topper. It looked stunning sitting atop a scarlet satin tablecloth, with the flower wall just behind!
We are so glad Reece’s family entrusted us with planning her quinceañera at the Millhouse. If there is a reason to celebrate, Sapphire Celebrations can help you with all your design and coordination needs! Get in touch today to learn more.
