Reece’s quinceañera at the Millhouse was a beautiful, culture-filled celebration. Our team was honored to assist with planning from start to finish! Reece’s parents knew they wanted to host the event in their hometown of Castle Rock, just south of the Denver metro area, but weren’t aware of the venues available. Once they shared their budget and guest count, we helped them select the Millhouse. Then, we helped them build a team of fantastic Denver area vendors to bring their daughter’s special day to life! The Significance of the QuinceañeraThe quinceañera is a traditional coming-of-age celebration in Mexican culture. It occurs on a girl’s 15th birthday to mark her transition into womanhood! Typically, she will wear a long, sophisticated ballgown for the occasion to signal her maturity. We loved Reece’s off-the-shoulder gown in a showstopping shade of red with glitzy floral appliqués! We wanted to serve authentic cuisine at the event to honor Reece and her family’s Mexican heritage. The Roadrunner Food Truck was a perfect choice! Head Chef Daniel hails from New Mexico and crafts delicious twists on traditional foods with only the freshest ingredients. His famous loaded tacos, nachos, and burrito bowls fueled the celebration into the night. Designing a Quinceañera at the MillhouseReece wanted her quinceañera to feature a color palette that showcased her love of pink. However, she also wanted the celebration to feel mature rather than girlish to signify her entrance into womanhood. To accomplish this balance, we selected décor in shades of blush and bubblegum pink with hints of red to match her dress. Ignite Experiences created a custom flower wall that was the pièce de résistance of the event! Pink and ivory roses covered every inch of the surface, which made it the prettiest photo backdrop. Meanwhile, Reece’s quinceañera cake by The Makery Cake Co. perfectly combined design elements from the flower wall and her dress. Lush red roses and burgundy carnations spilled down the side of the tiered treat, which also featured a glittery “15” cake topper. It looked stunning sitting atop a scarlet satin tablecloth, with the flower wall just behind! We are so glad Reece’s family entrusted us with planning her quinceañera at the Millhouse.
