![]() Love in the time of quarantine! Teal and Cole's Colorado wedding was planned in the throws of COVID and all the extra precautions of 2020. Sapphire Celebrations and this happy couple ventured through the many trials and tribulations of planning a wedding during a pandemic. Teal and Cole chose the lovely Broadmoor Resort for their wedding ceremony and wedding reception. They chose to be married in August of 2020, and so the story begins! Teal and Cole had originally planned and invited 200 wedding guests to celebrate this momentous occasion with them. As 2020 really began to throw a wrench in their plans, Teal and Cole were committed to being married in August of 2020. We assisted them with reimagining their wedding guest list, and in turn, 108 wedding guests joined them to celebrate at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. Along with reimagining their wedding guest list, Teal and Cole attended their pre-wedding tasting with the Broadmoor Resort all within the parameters of the COVID restrictions and guidelines. Nothing stops a wedding planner from making a wedding couple's dreams come true! As their wedding date arrived, Teal and Cole had entrusted The Broadmoor as their inclusive wedding location and would accommodate all of their wedding needs. Teal and her Bridesmaids received the royal treatment while getting ready. Teal's hair was breathtaking and a show stopper, one of our favorite details of their wedding. Wedding guests arrived at the wedding ceremony site at the East Lawn of the Broadmoor Resort. Wedding guests were seated in white resin chairs while facing the gorgeous mountains of Colorado. As Teal and Cole chose an August wedding date, the little details of planning an outdoor wedding ceremony were key. Each wedding guest received a wooden fan as they were seated. Teal and Cole worked along with Design Works to create a stunning floral wedding arch for their wedding altar. The floral wedding altar became the centerpiece of this outdoor wedding ceremony. Once Teal and Cole were pronounced husband and wife, wedding guests were escorted to the cocktail reception on the Lakeside Terrace. We reimagined Teal and Cole's wedding to embrace the ever changing world of COVID and hosted as many elements of their wedding outdoors as we possibly could. A tent was set up on the Lakeside Terrace Patio which allowed for shade, and also, additional space for guests to spread out and feel safe. After enjoying their libations outside under the tent, wedding guests were welcomed into the Lakeside Terrace Dining room with stunning floral arrangements and centerpieces. Teal and Cole chose champagne roses and accented with greenery for their wedding guest table centerpieces, sweetheart table, and floral accents on their beautiful wedding cake. The accents of eucalyptus and leafy greens were lovely and truly brought us back to life with our first wedding out of quarantine. Once guests enjoyed their meals, the wedding cake cutting was held outside on the Terrace Patio under the rented tent. The cake was prepared by The Broadmoor with DesignWorks providing the pops of color and natural flower beauty. With full bellies and their sweet tooth filled, wedding guests and the happy couple danced the night away outside on the Terrace Patio and under the tent and stars of summer.
