Colorado Destination Wedding in Estes Park

Our team loved working with Bonnie and Casey to plan their Colorado destination wedding in Estes Park. They split the day’s events between two venues, YMCA of the Rockies Overlook Chapel and Taharaa Mountain Lodge, to bring their vision to life! Their outdoor ceremony overlooked the stunning mountains Colorado is known for, while their ski lodge reception exuded rustic elegance.

All the couple’s friends and family traveled to the mountains to make their celebration feel extra special. We had so much fun working with them, and we’re excited to share the beautiful results!

Colorado Destination Wedding

Bonnie and Casey are from Texas, but met through a dating app while living in NYC. Their first priority for their wedding day was having an epic setting! Since the mid-50s, Bonnie’s family has spent every summer in Estes Park at YMCA of the Rockies. So, it was meaningful to the couple to include Rocky Mountain National Park in their big day.

For the design, they drew inspiration from the park’s stunning scenery and the palette of the Colorado wildflowers. Studio Q crafted colorful floral arrangements as a backdrop to the ceremony, while Bonnie’s bridesmaids wore dusty rose outfits that meshed beautifully with the natural setting. Bonnie’s wedding dress was one-of-a-kind, with her and Casey’s initials embroidered on the sleeve! Moreover, she had their wedding date and the lyrics to their first dance song sewn into the hem.

Outdoor Ceremony & Ski Lodge Reception

The couple hired a party bus to transport their guests to the Overlook Chapel at YMCA of the Rockies for their wedding ceremony. A jaw-dropping view of Rocky Mountain National Park formed the backdrop for their vow exchange! Afterward, while the couple and their bridal party posed for portraits, their guests enjoyed a casual cocktail hour accompanied by a string trio.

Then, the bus transported their guests to Taharaa Mountain Lodge for the reception, complete with lounge furniture, yard games, and curated cocktails. After heartfelt toasts from the couple’s families, everyone sat down to a gourmet meal catered by the lodge. Diamond Empire Band hit the stage, and everyone danced the night away!
