Giraffes love weddings too! The wedding ceremony for Megan and Ben was held at St. Gabriel the Archangel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Wedding guests were welcomed into the wedding ceremony with a chalk written program. Not only a beautiful entrance piece but lovely and sustainable too. Megan and Ben wanted to ensure guests would enjoy the wedding ceremony with them, so they opted to have an unplugged wedding for all to enjoy. Megan & Ben were married in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony with their family and friends in attendance. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, a Bagpiper played for guests as they departed the church. The little details of Megan and Ben’s Colorado wedding were fierce and we loved them! Megan’s dress was detailed with amazing lace and buttons, along with the gold, greys, greens and whites for the bridal party. Accents of greenery were found amongst the invitations, escort cards, and the bouquets. Megan and Ben were ‘wild’ and added little touches of their love for the wild and love for animals to their Colorado wedding details. From Ben's tiger socks (and groomsmen’s socks) to Megan’s leopard print shoes, even the giraffes at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo showed their love for Colorado weddings! This one needed a tasty treat for the afternoon, Megan’s hair flower was too tasty to wear! A classy little detail we absolutely loved was Megan’s note to her father which was sewed into the backside of his tie for the wedding. We love the father daughter bond! Megan and Ben welcomed wedding guests to the unique Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the wedding reception. Guests entered the wedding reception venue and were invited to sign a block from the classic game of Jenga for the traditional guest book. This was a wonderful way to help Megan and Ben begin building their memories together. Wedding guests enjoyed dinner and dancing, and then what is a wedding without dessert? A classic white frosted wedding cake was the centerpiece for Megan and Ben to cut for the traditional cake cutting, but don’t worry, this couple offered guests the delectable treats of Hurts Donut for dessert You can’t go wrong with donuts! To wrap up the beautiful Colorado evening, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Carousel took Megan and Ben for their first trip as a married couple.
