![]() Estes Park is one of our favorite locations in Colorado, and we'll be spending quite a bit of time up there this year helping our clients celebrate! Here are some ideas, and some of our favorite things that Estes Park has to offer. National Park | Rocky Mountain National Park![]() Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most visited National Parks in America, and we have the luxury of having it right here in Colorado! This expansive National Park has views for miles and miles with those scenic mountain peaks. Rocky Mountain National Park also offers many levels of accessibility, and something for everyone. From driving Trail Ridge Road in your own vehicle, to riding ATVs or on Horseback through the trails, or just simply hiking with your best friend (furry or human); Rocky Mountain National Park is truly the gem of Colorado. The Most Iconic Hotel | The Stanley Hotel![]() Our friends over at Visit Estes Park sum up the Stanley Hotel the best. “This historic hotel is one of oldest (and most grand) in the Estes Valley, plus it’s situated in a prime spot for the maximum panoramic Rocky Mountain views. The Stanley Hotel was built in 1909 by F.O. Stanley (known for the Stanley Steamer) as an upscale resort and wellness destination. The Stanley also has plenty of pop-culture history. Stephen King spent one winter night there snowed in, and was inspired to write “The Shining.” The subsequent film starring Jack Nicholson wasn’t filmed here in Estes – but popular comedy Dumb and Dumber was. As the inspiration for a spooky movie like The Shining, the Stanley has earned a bit of a paranormal reputation. You can now go on night tour at the property to explore the active phenomena and spirit folklore. If you’re more interested in the history and celebrities who have stayed over the years, they offer a daytime tour as well. The Stanley is more than just a hotel. It’s internationally known for an expansive whiskey bar, home to Colorado’s largest selection of whiskeys and single malt selections. Plus, restaurants, gift shops, and event spaces.” OUtdoor Adventures & ActivitiesWhitewater Rafting - Time to get wet and make a splash! Whitewater rafting is a great adventure down the Poudre Valley River. A few rafting companies are located and travel through Estes Park. The best dates to whitewater raft the Poudre Valley River are May through Labor Day. Horseback Riding - Not one for hiking on foot, no problem! Ride horseback through the Rocky Mountains and the scenic views. The local Estes Park stables and horseback riding tours offer many different tour options throughout the mountains as well as the length of tours (1-4 hour rides available), and even something for the little folks. Saddle Up! Jeep or ATV Tours - If you like to take your time and really breathe that mountain air, Estes Park has companies that offer guided Jeep tours to drive you through and really take in those scenic mountains views. If you’re more adventurous and really want to get that adrenaline junkie kick, look no further than renting a 4-Wheeler/ATV, Dirt Bike, or even RZR to off-road through Estes Park. Llama Pack Hikes - Have we ever mentioned our favorite animal is a Llamacorn (a mix of a llama and a unicorn)? So how could we pass up the opportunity to spotlight this unique opportunity to hike alongside llamas!
