Hanna & Dan and the Reimagined WeddingHanna & Dan were one of the lucky couples to be married in 2020, but their road to ‘I Do’ was a little bumpy, but became a beautiful, intimate wedding! Hanna & Dan began their wedding planning in 2019 with dreams of an amazing Colorado wedding ceremony and reception in Estes Park, Colorado (at the gorgeous Black Canyon Inn). Their original wedding date was set for July of 2020. As we all know, March 2020 stormed right in and stomped on all of their wedding plans and visions. Their original wedding guest list included 120 of their family and friends to join them and celebrate their union. As 2020 was, well, 2020, we helped Hanna & Dan reimagine their wedding dreams which in turn created an intimate Denver wedding of 35 of their closest family and friends. As we quickly adapted to the changing times and restrictions, we helped Hanna & Dan reimagine their wedding to a beautiful Downtown Denver location from their original hopes of an Estes Park wedding. Their wedding date also shifted and moved to September of 2020. As we shifted their vision, and we were determined to help them envision their dream wedding (just a little different), Hanna & Dan chose the historic Clocktower Event Center in Downtown Denver. The Clocktower is a one-of-a-kind and historic venue in Denver, Colorado. It has so much history and character, we love this intimate wedding venue. The Clocktower holds a special place in our hearts, as Sapphire Celebrations had an office on the 7th Floor of the building! And speaking of throwbacks, we love planning weddings for multiple family members. We helped plan Hanna's brother’s wedding just a few years ago in Vail, Colorado. We endearingly call these families, Sapphire Families, and we always have room for more family at our table! With Hanna and Dan’s reimagined, intimate wedding at the Clocktower, this put their Colorado wedding in the heart of Downtown Denver. The urban sprawl of downtown was not missed with Skyline Park right next door to The Clocktower, as well as the fun ride downtown on motorized scooters! We love having adventurous and fun wedding couples. Hanna and Dan’s intimate wedding ceremony was officiated at the top of the tower with the amazing clock faces as their wedding altar backdrop. Their wedding altar was draped with white and flanked with gorgeous white roses and greenery floral arrangements. Wedding guests were seated in chiavari chairs for this intimate wedding ceremony. To ensure that the guests not in physical attendance at the wedding were included, we worked with the venue to host a livestream of the wedding ceremony. Wedding guests tuned in from across the country as Hanna and Dan become husband and wife. After the ceremony, Hanna and Dan invited guests to enjoy food and libations with them at the top of the building looking out across the Denver skyline. The wedding ceremony altar became the beautiful backdrop to the Father Daughter dance. Wedding guests raised their glasses and toasted to Hanna and Dan’s life together and toasted to the beginning of their adventure, complete with beer koozies to remind them of this fabulous evening in 2020. With Hanna and Dan's reimagined Colorado wedding, we made sure to keep their original design in mind with little details here and there with a tribute to the mountains they both love. The beer koozies with the mountains and the tribute to adventure linked to their love of outdoors with their unplugged wedding ceremony signage and their collections of wine corks as their wedding guest book. As intimate as Hanna and Dan’s wedding was, based on COVID restrictions, we were able to graciously and tactfully keep them safe with fun, branded wedding face masks, a hand sanitizer station, and of course the individual cupcake display for dessert. Once the wedding reception ended for the evening, The Clocktower became a fascinating and amazingly beautiful backdrop on this one breathtaking evening in September. Not only is the Clocktower stunning from the inside at night, but the balconies have a take-your-breath-away views! Hanna and Dan’s wedding may have started as an Estes Park Colorado wedding of 120 wedding guests, but we were able to adapt and reimagine their dreams into this stunner of an evening, just look at those views!
