Reece’s quinceañera at the Millhouse was a beautiful, culture-filled celebration. Our team was honored to assist with planning from start to finish! Reece’s parents knew they wanted to host the event in their hometown of Castle Rock, just south of the Denver metro area, but weren’t aware of the venues available. Once they shared their budget and guest count, we helped them select the Millhouse. Then, we helped them build a team of fantastic Denver area vendors to bring their daughter’s special day to life! The Significance of the QuinceañeraThe quinceañera is a traditional coming-of-age celebration in Mexican culture. It occurs on a girl’s 15th birthday to mark her transition into womanhood! Typically, she will wear a long, sophisticated ballgown for the occasion to signal her maturity. We loved Reece’s off-the-shoulder gown in a showstopping shade of red with glitzy floral appliqués! We wanted to serve authentic cuisine at the event to honor Reece and her family’s Mexican heritage. The Roadrunner Food Truck was a perfect choice! Head Chef Daniel hails from New Mexico and crafts delicious twists on traditional foods with only the freshest ingredients. His famous loaded tacos, nachos, and burrito bowls fueled the celebration into the night. Designing a Quinceañera at the MillhouseReece wanted her quinceañera to feature a color palette that showcased her love of pink. However, she also wanted the celebration to feel mature rather than girlish to signify her entrance into womanhood. To accomplish this balance, we selected décor in shades of blush and bubblegum pink with hints of red to match her dress. Ignite Experiences created a custom flower wall that was the pièce de résistance of the event! Pink and ivory roses covered every inch of the surface, which made it the prettiest photo backdrop. Meanwhile, Reece’s quinceañera cake by The Makery Cake Co. perfectly combined design elements from the flower wall and her dress. Lush red roses and burgundy carnations spilled down the side of the tiered treat, which also featured a glittery “15” cake topper. It looked stunning sitting atop a scarlet satin tablecloth, with the flower wall just behind! We are so glad Reece’s family entrusted us with planning her quinceañera at the Millhouse. The personal touches Natalie and Christian put into their wedding reception helped their guests get to know them better and feel as if they were a part of their tropical I Dos. As guests entered the Arvada reception space, they were greeted by a display of photos, art and creations that showed their personalities. Throughout the space a photo slideshow with personal and professional photos from the St. Lucia vacation and beach wedding ceremony. Showcasing their love for Dungeon's and Dragons, the couple built items décor pieces to place throughout the reception. A full scene on the entrance table, dice in the centerpieces and hand painted miniatures of the couple on the cake! Natalie, Christian, their friends and family were pure joy as they celebrated the newlyweds with great food and dancing the night away. Venue: Elks Lodge, Arvada Photography: Wanderlight Photography Catering: Y. Lo Epicure Entertainment: A Music Plus Rentals: Butler Rents Gretchen and Andrew’s wedding at Colorado Mountain Ranch was inspired by the beautiful landscape, with organic details in a palette of white and green. As the couple’s month-of wedding coordinator, we came on board in the final weeks of planning to ensure every detail came together. Then, when the big day arrived, we took charge so that Gretchen and Andrew could sit back and enjoy every moment. In fact, it was Gretchen’s father who hired us to ensure his daughter would feel completely relaxed on her wedding day—we can’t think of a better gift! Green and White DetailsWe loved the color palette that Gretchen and Andrew chose for their wedding day, which reminded us of a Colorado mountain forest. While Andrew and his groomsmen donned charcoal tuxes, Gretchen’s bridesmaids slipped into soft sage green gowns. Meanwhile, Gretchen looked stunning in the Hearst Gown from Willowby by Watters, with leaf appliqués stitched into the bodice and trailing down the floaty tulle skirt. It coordinated perfectly with the rustic, nature-inspired feel of the day! Gretchen and her bridesmaids also carried simple bouquets from Atmosphere Flowers, with a mix of eucalyptus and massive white roses. A sprinkling of ranunculus added a splash of burgundy to Gretchen’s arrangement that hinted at the fall season. Reception in the Ponderosa Lodge at Colorado Mountain RanchThe couple held their reception inside the Ponderosa Lodge at Colorado Mountain Ranch, where fireplaces, hewn log walls, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains gave their celebration a cozy, intimate feel. Long farmhouse tables encouraged family-style dining. On the tablescapes, white linens and eucalyptus incorporated the color palette into the design, while flickering candles added warmth. The simplicity complemented the rustic décor and gave the lodge an air of elegance! It was an honor to perform month-of coordination for this Colorado Mountain Ranch wedding.
